EARLY REGISTRATION FOR LAST YEARS PLAYERS ONLY UNTIL FEBRUARY 23rd

The Almaguin Minor Softball Association (AMSA) 2026 softball season is open for registration. This notice is intended to help families understand eligibility, placement requirements and plan for the upcoming season.

2026 Travel Team Softball – Pre-Registration Details

Season Details

• Season Dates: May to July 2026

• Games: Once per week (usually Wednesday evenings)

• Practices: Minimum of once per week, at the discretion of the team's coaching staff

• Year-End Tournament Eligiblity: Players must play a minimum of 4 regular season games to be eligible

• Participation: Co-ed

• Eligible Birth Years: 2013 to 2018

• Year-End Tournament: July 25 & 26, 2026

Team & Player Placement

• Players may only register for one team.

• Players are expected to play on the team representing their closest municipality.

• Roster spots are on a first-come, first-served basis (15 players + 2 alternates).

• Exceptions may be granted (at the discretion of the AMSA) only if:

  • The player may be grandfathered with a team they previously played on, or

  • The local team has reached capacity.

Final placement is subject to roster sizes, volunteer availability, and league balance.

Uniforms

• Travel Team players are provided with a jersey, hat, pants, belt, and socks for the signup fee. If they are interested in team swag, it will be available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis on the AMSA shop (not open yet).
